About the project

We were assigned the task of creating a dashboard for Adya company of their electricity meter based on the SLA readings, the meter’s location, faulty meters by type, power grid distribution in that specific area and other settings.

Project Details

Adya is an end-to-end metering solution provider for power distribution companies and consumers. It also provides IoT-based solutions, EV, Micro microgrids for revenue development.

Adya installed around 10K+ meters in the Telangana region, where they had to manually check every meter in case of malfunctioning or damage. This caused a loss of previous readings and absence of meter performance for the company, and required a lot of time.

They came up with a solution of a digital dashboard of the performance of each meter and updating online in case of issues, checking performance stats and sharing the electricity bills directly on the smartphones of consumers. As soon as there is an update or malfunction of these meters, they send the mechanic to that specific meter, and the changes would be updated on the platform to maintain alignment with the ground reality.

Things I Did

I designed the dashboard in Figma with the help of a Senior designer, with a focus on performance, usability, and brand alignment. I created a comprehensive graph, such as 8, 12 & 24-hour SLA readings of the meter, heatmap, gauge meter, default meters, etc, using the data provided by the client. I worked closely with the developer and other designers to bring their visual guidelines into a responsive and interactive dashboard. My role also included pitching the designs to the client to ensure a smooth experience for users at all touchpoints.
